Deer Lake Regional Airport is celebrating 25 years in business today.
President and CEO Tammy Priddle says there’s been a number of ups and downs over the past quarter of a century, but ultimately a lot to be proud of.
One of the biggest challenges was the pandemic, but Priddle says they’re nearing a full recovery. She says passenger levels have bounced back by about 90 per cent since before COVID, with nearly 260,000 travellers filtering in and out of YDF in 2023.
A 25th anniversary celebration is taking place at the airport this afternoon.
