A young athlete from this province is being pegged to potentially represent Canada at the 2025 Deaflympics in Japan.
Falon Elise McLoughlan, a 14-year-old volleyball player from this province, is training to represent the country at the games through the Canadian Deaf Sports Association’s Long Term Athlete Development program.
A donation by the Alberta Deaf Sports Association will help pay for McLoughlan’s training, as she aims to make the games in two years.
The CDSA say she is an ideal candidate to represent the country on a national stage.
