Santa Claus is coming to town today in Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South, meaning there are a few road closures people should be aware of.
The Mount Pearl Lions Club Santa Claus Parade leaves from Mount Pearl Senior High at 10am and travels down Ruth Avenue, onto Park Avenue, and finishes at Mount Pearl Square (Topsail Road).
The Marystown Santa Claus Parade is a-go today for 11 am, running until roughly 1 pm. Santa will be handing out gift-baggies to children at the conclusion of the parade.
The annual CBS Santa Claus parade is taking place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. As such, road closures will begin on Topsail Road at Villanova Junior High, continuing west along the Conception Bay Highway up to the CBS Town Hall.
Entry and exit to the Conception Bay Highway from side roads and parking lots will be prohibited during this time.
Roads will reopen as the parade progresses. If the parade is cancelled due to weather, it will go ahead tomorrow.
