The provincial government is touting some progress being made in addressing a child care shortage.
A thousand new spaces have been created to operate under the $10-a-day or less child care program.
The province also received nearly 1,200 responses through a also portal launched in October that will allow government to get an idea of where the greatest demand lies.
The Department of Education is currently filtering through the submissions and will eventually provide additional child care spaces to areas in need.
