As of today at 5:30 p.m., Your VOCM is bridging the distance between Newfoundland and Labrador and the North Pole.

The annual tradition gives children and families the magical opportunity to chat with Santa himself!

Santa Calls, presented by CUPE NL, holds significant importance for all of their members, according to President Sherry Hillier.

She says that Christmas is about children, and this initiative is their way of giving back. Hillier acknowledges that many of their members’ children eagerly anticipate the opportunity to call in and talk with Santa.

Hillier thanks the numerous members who will be working over the holidays, sacrificing their time with family.

She says that the true gift of Christmas isn’t found under the tree, but around it. According to Hillier, the presence of family is most important during the holiday season.
