The provincial government has issued a Call for Proposals for cell phone companies to provide expanded service to rural and remote areas of the province.
The call follows an Expression of Interest from a number of communities that asked to be considered for improved cellular service.
The list of communities will be available to service providers interested in submitting proposals. Those service providers can then submit an application for funding to develop improved cellular service in a number of communities which have been identified by the Department of Industry.
