A cat is none the worse for wear after making a death-defying leap from the top of a utility pole.
Alice Reid of Dildo posted a video of the ordeal on Facebook.
In the video, Reid’s cat Coco can be heard meowing as a Newfoundland Power employee climbs up the pole to try to save her. The situation soon takes an unexpected turn, however.
As the employee nears the top, the cat leaps into the air, falling to the bushes below.
Reid tells VOCM News that the cat was up on the utility pole for about two hours. She says Coco is fine following the big jump.
