Christmas cheer, music and turkey dinner were plentiful at the Knights of Columbus in St. John’s yesterday as Rogers Rogers Moyse put off their annual community Christmas dinner.

About 200 people packed into the hall for the event, which featured musical performances by the likes of Terry Rielly and Chris Andrews, as well as a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Many dressed in their Christmas best for the event, and some got up for a waltz during the musical performances.

Richard Rogers, senior partner at the law firm, says this is the 15th year for the dinner and he has attended every one.

He calls it an amazing event, and notes that he can feel the happiness and excitement in the room.

He says this is what Christmas is all about.
