The NL Paramedic Association is still waiting on details on what a planned province-wide ambulance system will look like.

Plans to consolidate nearly 60 ambulance services was announced during the last budget, with the consultation process supposed to be wrapped up by now.

NL Paramedic Association President, Rodney Gaudet says there were three consultants hired, and they haven’t seen reports from either.

Gaudet says it’s important that those results end up being shared with their members.

He says their input ensures that the chosen model will provide the best care for patients while also being in the best interest of staff.
