“Stop the car!” a Heart’s Content woman is the province’s latest millionaire.

Donna Evely was delivering flyers with her husband when they stopped into a store to pick up some scratch tickets.

She was in the passenger seat, and when she scratched off a Casino Multiplier ticket and she couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Stop the car, I think I won $1-million!” she shouted at her husband.

They turned the car around to head back to O’Brien’s Clover Farm in Cape Broyle to get the ticket validated. She says they all cried and the staff gathered around to congratulate them.

After years of having to skimp and save, the couple will use their winnings to visit their children at Christmas and upgrade their vehicle and motorhome.

A cruise ship trip and other vacation plans are also in the works.
