The Public Accounts Committee wants the Auditor General to do another audit of matters related to personal care and long-term care facilities.
Committee chair Pleaman Forsey says some recommendations from the original audit years ago have been implemented, but some remain either not fully implemented or not resolved. The committee is particularly concerned about remaining outstanding recommendations related to personal care homes and potential similar issues with long-term care.
Forsey says considering the time elapsed since the audits means that a new review is warranted.
