Auditor General Denise Hanrahan has agreed to conduct an updated audit into long-term care and personal care homes.
The original audit was issued in 2014, but the Public Accounts Committee requested a new review, saying some recommendations have only been implemented partially or not at all.
The AG says ongoing monitoring will be included in her upcoming annual report.
