It’s expected to be a busy few weeks ahead at the airports with many people heading home for the holidays.
Julia Kent, Director of Social Responsibility and Advocacy with CAA Atlantic, says all signs point to airports looking like they did before the pandemic.
She urges travellers to have patience and to plan ahead in case of any setbacks.
She recommends travel insurance to protect yourself if you have an abrupt change of plans. Kent says it’s a good idea to book flights leaving early in the morning as there will be more options to rebook your flight that same day should there be any delays or cancellations.
If someone encounters any major issues, Kent recommends reading up on the Air Passenger Rights Agreement to ensure proper compensation.
