The RNC were kept busy over a hectic three hour period on Saturday, with numerous calls and arrests in the metro area.
At 8:19 pm the RNC responded to a disturbance at a residence in the center city of St. John’s where a 42-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats and unlawfully in a dwelling. He was held to appear in court.
At 11:44 pm the RNC again responded to a home in the east end for a possible disturbance, where a 16-year-old man was charged with uttering threats and assaulting a police officer. He too was held to appear in court.
Other incidents over the short span on Saturday evening included the arrest of a 26-year-old man for mischief at a downtown business, the arrest of a 68-year-old man on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop and a 15-year-old male being charged with property damage and breach of a court order in the east end of St. John’s.
