Two people are each facing a list of charges related to an ongoing drug investigation in central Newfoundland.
RCMP in Grand Falls-Windsor and Springdale were involved in the search of two locations—a home in Robert’s Arm and a camper trailer in the South Brook area.
Forty-seven-year-old Paul Roberts of Robert’s Arm was arrested on his property, while 49-year-old Tina Smith was arrested during the search on December 16.
A number of items were seized at the time, including suspected cocaine, Canadian cash, suspected counterfeit American cash, illicit cannabis, contraband tobacco, drug paraphernalia and two pellet guns.
A search of the camper resulted in the seizure of a quantity of ammunition, and an ATV, reported stolen from Grand Falls-Windsor, was recovered.
Roberts and Smith are each facing a number of charges including trafficking in cocaine, possession of unstamped tobacco and possession of contraband cannabis, while Roberts is facing the additional charge of possession of property obtained by crime.
The pair is scheduled to return to court in Grand Falls-Windsor on January 31.
The investigation continues.
