The provincial government has announced a Request for Proposals to identify ways to improve cell phone coverage along portions of the highway where there are known service gaps.
The province is looking for professional services from those with qualified and specialized telecommunications and communications technology expertise.
While telecommunications falls under federal jurisdiction, the province says it is committed to improving cell service along the province’s highways.
The aim of the RFP is to help the province identify future opportunities and approaches to improve cell coverage.
