Marine Atlantic will have a new vessel plying the Argentia run next year.
The Ala’suinu, currently under construction, will be delivered to the Crown corporation in May and put into service around June.
It’s about 200 metres in length, is ice-class, has 146 passenger cabins and can carry a thousand passengers. There’s a children’s play area, 40 passenger pods, pet-friendly cabins and a pet kennel.
Marine Atlantic says it will be one of the most accessible vessels in the world.
