A 37-year-old Corner Brook woman is facing an impaired driving charge after crashing into a snowbank.

Shortly after 11 p.m., west coast police responded to a report of a speeding vehicle that ended up in a snowbank in the area of Main Street.

Officers say the driver showed signs of impairment. She was taken to RNC headquarters where she blew over the legal limit.

He vehicle was impounded and she was released to appear in court at a later date.
