“Ordinary Day” by Great Big Sea rang out through Gothenburg Sunday night as Canada broke open a close game with three goals in the third period to beat Germany 6-3.
Canada will play Czechia at 10:00 am NST Tuesday morning.

If Canada and the United States each win, they would face each other in the semi-finals. The Americans look almost invincible with the one exception being their shootout win vs. Czechia.
Canada badly outshot Germany but it was tied 3-3 halfway through the third with all of Germany’s goals coming on the power play.
About 3500 Canadians are in Gothernburg for the World Juniors.
