Jim Dinn stands by the comments he made in the House of Assembly last year that saw his speaking privileges revoked.
Dinn lost the right to speak after he asked if statements made by Housing Minister Paul Pike referencing 750 new housing units were “lies.”
That word was ruled to be unparliamentary, and Dinn is not allowed to speak again until he retracts his comments.
The NDP leader stands firm by his comments saying that “a lie is a lie”
He says he chose his words carefully, and he knew he would face some sort of disciplinary action, and overall it has made him more stubborn to stand on principle.
