PC Leader Tony Wakeham says negotiations on the new Upper Churchill deal are too important to be done behind closed doors.
The current contract expires in 2041, but negotiations on a renewal are already underway.
PC Leader Tony Wakeham says Premier Andrew Furey has never come out publicly to say the principals that he is bringing to the negotiations, and the things that he will not give in on.
He says he has asked for a commitment from government that an expert panel will get to review whatever deal is reached before it is signed, and that it will be debated in the House of Assembly.
Wakeham says no deal of such magnitude should ever be signed without everyone having a chance to put a bigger lens on it.
