Lawyers are still waiting for the autopsy report in a first-degree murder case on the west coast of the province.
Thirty-three-year-old Justin Campbell was charged back on Sept. 8th after 69-year-old Eva Banfield was found dead in her Deer Lake home.
Campbell is also charged with the theft over $5,000 from her.
RCMP have confirmed they were related, but have not said how.
It’s alleged the theft and murder occurred some time between August 30 and September 7.
Campbell has been in custody since his arrest four months ago as lawyers awaited disclosure evidence.
In Corner Brook provincial court this afternoon, they said they now have everything except the medical examiner’s report.
And defence lawyer Jonathan Regan noted he wouldn’t be entering any pleas before he and his client see it.
The court also granted Campbell’s request to remove the names of two relatives from the list of people he can’t have contact with.
Campbell remains in custody at the correctional centre in Bishop’s Falls.
His next court appearance is set for February 27.
