Ferryland RCMP are investigating an arson at a cabin in a remote area of Witless Bay Line.
Police were first called to the area just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Because of the remote location, the cabin was not accessible by vehicle for police or the fire department.
They say the structure was uninhabited and closed for the winter at the time. It was completely destroyed in the blaze.
Anyone with information about the fire or suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
