Equinor says it is exploring a number of potential FPSO development scenarios as it reworks a development plan for the Bay du Nord project.
The company put the deep sea oil development project on hold for up to three years last May, while it finds more economical ways to move forward.
Equinor tells VOCM News that it has issued four expressions of interest for concept and feasibility studies related to Bay du Nord.
The company says the studies are designed to improve the project’s business case towards “a potential, future investment decision.”
Part of that includes potential FPSO development scenarios, including leasing options. The company says “expressions of interest represent early concept studies and do not indicate any decisions” on “how or where the project will be developed or executed.”
