It’s basketball season in metro. The Newfoundland Rogues are preparing to take to the court tomorrow in their season opener against the Jamestown Jackals.

The team has officially unveiled their roster for the season, with many new faces and some fan-favourites returning to the lineup, all headed up by head coach Jerry Williams.

He says they have four players returning to the team, including hometown player Daniel Gordon.

Williams says the team is much taller this year.

He says the average height on the team is 6’6″, with their tallest player coming in at 7 feet. “We’re gonna be big,” says Williams, who notes that now the focus is on getting the team to gel together.
