Most of the province, including metro, is under a snow squall and/or wind warning for the next couple of days. That combination can create hazardous driving conditions in a matter of seconds.
Meteorologist Justin Boudreau of the Gander Weather Office says there won’t be much relief from the high winds until Friday evening.
The snow squalls can pop up anywhere, anytime and with varying intensity and duration.
Trinity Conception RCMP is asking drivers to avoid the area of Veterans Memorial Highway due to extremely icy conditions and snow squalls.
The RNC is also warning people driving on the northeast avalon to be mindful of the snow squalls.
Police responded to an accident on Pitts Memorial Drive where a vehicle flipped over. They say no injuries were reported in the incident.
