It’s a second consecutive blustery and bitterly cold day for many parts of the island with plenty of school closures.
Metro schools are open but some outside metro, on the south coast and on the west coast are going to keep their doors closed for all or part pf the day.
Some municipalities, including St. John’s, are cancelling garbage collection because of the high winds.
Erika Ranger, meteorologist with the Gander Weather Office, says things will return to normal on the weather front tomorrow.
Winds will be gusting to 80 to 90 km/h today in most areas but ease overnight and tomorrow as those squalls move out.
