An aggravated assault charge has been laid against 36-year-old Justin Chipman of St. John’s in connection with a weekend stabbing in the capital city.

RNC were called to a home on Hatcher Street at 5:00 Saturday morning and found a man at the scene with stab wounds.

The victim, who was taken to hospital for treatment, is recovering from his injuries.

The suspect left the area before police arrived, and Chipman was arrested late Saturday night. He is now facing charges of aggravated assault, failure to comply with a release order and breach of probation.
