The Member of Parliament for Labrador says she is “doing great” after surviving a second battle with cancer.
Yvonne Jones took a leave of absence beginning in the fall of 2022 after it was revealed that she had breast cancer.
She made her return to the House of Commons last June to cheers and applause from her colleagues.
Jones says it has been a difficult year, but notes that she is “one of the very lucky ones,” thanks to her doctors, early diagnostics, and treatment. She feels “very fortunate” and is happy to be back to work.
