The Port of Argentia is moving forward with its Cooper Cove Marine Terminal Expansion now that the project has been released from Environmental Assessment.
CEO Scott Penney says conditions are in place however, including the development of a waste management plan specific to the project.
The Port of Argentia has received both provincial and federal government funding toward the project.
The port says the expansion will double quayside capacity at the port, with three new berths at water depths of 12.5 metres and the creation of ten hectares of adjacent laydown space.
