Over 1,700 people have already cast their ballots in the Conception Bay East-Bell Island by-election.
Advance polls, which were located in nine locations across the district, closed at 8 p.m. yesterday.
The ballots will be counted on election night, after the regular polls close.
Election day is next Monday.
