The province is reminding those experiencing homelessness of emergency supports ahead of a cold snap across the province.
Temperatures are supposed to dip to minus mid to high teens, with the wind chill dropping the mercury to nearly minus 30.

People experiencing homelessness are asked to contact Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation’s emergency shelter line at 1-833-724-2444 for temporary accommodations.

Those in the metro region can go to the Safe Haven Shelter at 10 St. Clare Avenue, which serves as a warming shelter in inclement weather. Those outside metro are asked to contact the shelter line for other options.
