The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor and the local Community Healthcare Coalition are hosting a public information session to answer questions surrounding a new Family Care Team in the region.

Coalition Chair Cyril Farrell says while Family Care Teams are a relatively new concept for the region, they’ve been operating in many other jurisdictions for some time.

That’s why, says Farrell, they wanted to put a public information session together to help people better understand how a Family Care Team can benefit patients, especially those without a family physician.

He says a patient will be followed by a Family Care Team similar to the way a family physician would follow your health.

The public information session is scheduled for next Wednesday, January 31st at 7:00 p.m. at the Classic Theatre on High Street in Grand Falls-Windsor.
