A cabinet minister who endeared himself to the people he served will be laid to rest tomorrow in his hometown of Greenspond, Bonavista Bay.
Derrick Bragg, who most recently served as the Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture, passed away on Monday following a brief battle with cancer. He was 59.
Tributes from across the province have been pouring in for Bragg, who is being remembered as both fun-loving and hard working.
A celebration of his life is set for tomorrow at 1 p.m. from St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Greenspond. Donations in his memory are being accepted for Daffodil Place in St. John’s.
A Book of Condolence has also been set up in the lobby of Confederation Building for members of the public.
