One of the province’s best known salmon rivers has been recognized as Canada’s best angling destination.
FishingBooker, an online platform for finding and booking fishing trips, released its list of the top ten fishing destinations in Canada in 2024 and the Gander River tops the list.
The company calls the Gander River a “haven for Atlantic salmon enthusiasts” and nature lovers alike.
FishingBooker says the Gander River draws some 25,000 returning Atlantic salmon each year.
