Confederation Building will be lit up in green tonight as a tribute to those killed or injured in the horrific events seven years ago today at a mosque in Quebec City. Six people were killed.

The provincial government says as Muslim communities continue to grow, they’re committed to working with the Muslim Association of Newfoundland and Labrador to recognize and celebrate the cultures and contributions that enrich our province.

The colour green has long been associated with the Islamic faith.
