The RNC has issued a ticket to the driver of a vehicle who posted pictures on social media showing the driver and a passenger in a vehicle with two open beer bottles visible.

The incident prompted a huge response from the public who tagged RNC asking that something be done.

RNC Constable James Cadigan says police do not monitor social media 24/7 and if a person is concerned about potential criminal activity, they need to call.

A formal report will allow for a prompt response from officers to take appropriate action, says Cadigan.

The driver, from Paradise, has received a ticket for having open liquor in a vehicle.
