Whitbourne RCMP are investigating after vandals trashed more than 20 camper trailers in the community of Cavendish.

Police believe the crimes were carried out within the past week at Bishops Field Park where the trailers were parked.

The first reports, received on Saturday, suggested the suspects entered the park, which is closed for the winter, and damaged trailer doors by either smashing the windows or prying them open.

Police are still trying to determine what, if anything, was stolen from the campers.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
