Areas affected by power outages in metro this morning have been restored.
Thousands of customers on the Avalon were without power due to ice on the power lines from freezing drizzle.
Power was restored to all areas around 3:30 p.m.

Thousands of customers on the Avalon are without power this morning.
Outages include parts of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, Bell Island, Mount Pearl, and St. John’s.
The cause of the outage is a build-up of ice on the power lines as a result of freezing drizzle.
Newfoundland Power says the power should be restored at 2:30 p.m.
