Sending a letter through the traditional mailing system might cost a little extra soon.
Canada Post has requested a price increase on the cost of postage, which would see a single stamp go up to $1.15 from $1.07 for a domestic letter.
Stamps purchased in booklets, coils, or panes would go up by seven cents—which works out to about 99 cent per stamp.
International postage and domestic registered mail would also be impacted by the price increases.
Canada Post has put the rate changes forward for approval and aims to have the price change in effect on May 6.
