Police are now looking for any video of a crash on Torbay Road early Thursday afternoon.
An 82-year-old man remains in hospital following the two-vehicle mishap which resulted in closure of the busy, four-lane thoroughfare near Cox March Road.
Three others involved in the crash escaped injury.
The road was shut down for several hours while police and other emergency responders went to work at the scene.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, but police are hoping more witnesses and video of the incident will help them piece together what happened.
