The Home Again Furniture Bank has officially launched its annual Heads Without Beds community fundraiser.

The furniture bank helps provide and deliver furniture, such as beds, to those in need.

The annual event, which is taking place on March 22, will see people voluntarily give up their beds for a night to raise awareness of the issue, and raise funds for the organization. The goal, this year is $50,000.

In 2023, Home Again says they saw a 24 per cent increase in requests for furniture and helped to furnish over 600 homes.

With challenges regarding the cost of living, they expect those levels to either be maintained or exceeded this year.
