Former Mayor Tom O’Brien is back on the Stephenville town council.
O’Brien will fill one of the three vacancies on council following a hotly-contested byelection in Stephenville yesterday.
The other two vacancies will be filled by Maurice Hynes and Darren Roberts according to the official numbers released by the town today.
Twelve people offered themselves for election following the recent resignation of three town councillors.
Despite the interest in filling the vacancies, voter turnout was just 32 per cent.
