Marine Atlantic’s newest vessel, en route to Newfoundland from China, underwent some maintenance and what the corporation calls “minor mechanical work” during a recent refueling stop in Sri Lanka.
The Ala’suinu is expected to arrive in Atlantic Canada in April barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Marine Atlantic says the ferry is expected to leave Sri Lanka for Mauritius sometime over the weekend.
