Country-pop superstar Shania Twain will headline this year’s Churchill Park Music Festival.
The five-time Grammy award winner will perform both August 16th and 17th at the festival in the centre of St. John’s.
The St. John’s dates are the only Canadian stop on Twain’s current Queen of Me world tour, and will be sandwiched between a show at London, England’s Hyde Park and her continued run of shows in Las Vegas.
The 58-year-old has sold over one million records, and is the best-selling female artist in country music history.
Her hits are simply too many to mention, but they came from ground-breaking records such as The Woman in Me, Come on Over, and Up, among others.
Other acts on the bill so far include Alan Doyle, Lindsay Ell and Juno breakthrough artist of the year, TALK.
Tickets go on sale next Thursday, April 4, at noon through the festival website.
Additional artists will be added to the lineup as the concerts near.
