The focal point of activities will be Colonial Building where legislators debated joining with Canada before the third in a series of referenda finally resulted in acceptance of the concept by ordinary Newfoundlanders and Labradorians by the slimmest of margins 51-49.
Speaking from Colonial Building, Premier Andrew Furey tweeted out about how far Newfoundland and Labrador has come since joining Canada.
