On the 20th of January a mysterious wreck washed up on the shores of Cape Ray. It captured the imagination of people all over the world .
For more than two months volunteers from the community and The Clean Harbour Initiative have been braving bad weather and high seas to get the shipwreck out of the water and moved to dry land.
Trevor Croft, manager/boat operator with the group, says the last piece of the wreck has been moved from the ocean. They did it one piece at a time. Croft says they tried to bring it in in one piece, but that did not pan out.
They have been battling rough weather just about the entire time.
They had to tie ship back on seven times as it busted the rope seven times. Then it would spin around and drift out so far, then spin around and drift back in, says Croft.
