A second body has been recovered from a pond following a single-vehicle crash on the west coast of Newfoundland.
RCMP say a pickup missed a turn on Route 470, near Rose Blanche, and ended up in the icy water around 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
The body of one man was recovered shortly after the mishap, while the body of a second was recovered by police divers this morning.
It’s believed the two men were part of a crew contracted to repair infrastructure damaged during hurricane Fiona.
RCMP are being assisted with the investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The names of the victims have not been released.
