Fans lamenting that they did not have an opportunity to say a proper goodbye to the Newfoundland Growlers will do just that this weekend.
The team suddenly folded on Tuesday after the ECHL rejected a proposed bid to save the franchise.
The Growlers would have played the Lions this weekend at the Mary Brown’s Centre with games tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon.
Growlers Nation will rally in front of Mary Brown’s Centre Sunday afternoon between 3:00 and 4:00 to ring bells, honk horns and to pay their final respects to the former Kelly Cup champions.
