A 40-year-old man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a business in the capital city on Friday afternoon.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to the business on Thorburn Road shortly before 4 p.m. and identified the suspect from CCTV footage.
Police then went to a home in the immediate area and charged the man with armed robbery and failure to comply with probation.
He was taken to the lockup for court in the morning.
Meanwhile, the RNC responded to a theft at a business on Kelsey Drive that resulted in the arrest of two people Friday night.
A man and a woman, both 34-years-old, were charged with theft a breach of release orders. The woman was also charged with theft in a different matter.
The pair were held at the lockup for court.
